My wings, newly set, eager
strayed separately, desperately, wanting flight.
Flapping frustrated, wanting to feel wind against them
Then you, lavender faerie,
pressed against my back,
wrapping ivory arms about my neck,
pointed heavenward and whispered "toward home"
Clumsy wings suddenly came together
knowing what they were made for,
and in fantasy, took to air.
Laughing, smiling, I tasted the bluest fruit
from the brightest planets,
fresh and delightful from your fingertips
Purple stained hands combing through my hair
and my heart, as my wings,
fluttered and raced through the night sky
Purple stained lips pressed against my own
as I discovered, while I blushed
Just how smitten I am,
Just how enchanting you are
